Throughout 2023, Studio Hendro Hadinata highlights the material and technique exploration of metal weaving originally done by crafters in Sumba, Indonesia. Our curiosity led to learning new things through explorative design thinking, resulting in the creation of objects with these new goods.
Our Bryo Pendant Lamp evokes a connection back to the warmest place of life. Its light source is wrapped in a metal mesh, radiating warmth that spreads to every strand of the metal. The interaction between the light and the mesh imitates how a heart—a new life—is living in the womb, enlivening the sound of early life that cannot be remembered.
