Untitled Stool

Four IKEA stools wrapped in partially-finished textile cushion covers become an interactive canvas for you to complete. Each stool features a unique shade of blue, inspired by birds and insects native to Indonesia, crafted from surplus fabric found in Threadapeutic’s storeroom. At their core lies the process of “brushing,” a technique that reveals the hidden layers of fabric beneath. First showcased at Bintaro Design District 2024, these stools encourage a tactile connection with the act of making—transforming something functional into a tactile experience for the user.
