PLANK Chair

The all-time favourite Indonesian eatery serving meals in a home-cooked way at the sidewalks amidst bustling commoners is a humble kiosk known as a warteg (abbreviated from “warung” and “tegal”). But its architecture has evolved from its original plank-covered façade into a frame of glass and aluminium. Reincarnating these original planks, Plank Chair takes us back to humble beginnings in wood whilst providing an innovative crevice down its spine to let air circulate through the chair and free up the common heat that sweats your back.
