NUR Project

NUR serves as an artistic creation and installation in response to the issue of environmental degradation, particularly concerning Indonesia’s endemic fauna, aiming to raise awareness. It embodies three endangered animals portrayed with cleverly designed characters, fostering a sense of closeness, especially among children. These mammals include the Javanese Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros sondaicus), the Sumatran Tiger (Panthera tigris sondaica), and the Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus). The challenge lies in crafting recognizable silhouettes in a minimalist style, true to the actual size of the animals, while imbuing each character with a sense of anxiety to effectively convey the message about their plight.

Exhibited at Senayan City Mall, Jakarta.
